We work with OEF El Salvador, providing technical guidance to its coordinators and directors to improve the programs and methodologies used in their reinforcement classrooms for primary school students with learning difficulties. During the evaluation, we analyze the curriculum, planning, and methodology implemented in the classrooms and provide guidance on focusing on a more holistic model, focusing on students' strengths, skill development, and classroom differentiation.
As a result of our consultancy, Nikmati is training coordinators and facilitators and developing curriculum guides for OEF El Salvador educators. These guides emphasize developing and applying competencies within topics of interest to students, such as self-esteem, children's rights, cultural identity, and active citizenship.
The curriculum guides, along with complementary teaching resources, are designed to help facilitators adapt to the different levels of literacy present in the classrooms, foster creativity and critical thinking, and strengthen mathematical reasoning skills.
